Buy Your Own Domain

If you increase your presence and better connect with your buyers, you’ll need to host your own author site. The first step to that is to get your own domain. This is the company I use:

Host Your Websites

I’ve been using this host for a while now and I’m quite happy. There has only been one incidence, other than that, it runs smoothly.

Most Professional Template for Kindle & CreateSpace

I’ve learned the hard way that just because you hire a typesetter doesn’t always mean they’ll hand over the type of book you’re proud to append your name to. That’s why now I use these super looking professional templates. You’ll find templates for fiction, non fiction and even Kids books!

Build Your List

If you intend on selling more than a few books, you’ll NEED to start building your list. This is the platform I’ve been using since 2007 in my business to manage my customer contacts:

Easiest Way To Create Smart Looking Squeeze Pages

I’ve found it super challenging getting professional looking responsive squeeze pages designed on Fiverr. I placed an order with 5 different vendors earlier this year and was disappointed each time. Then out of the blue a colleague of mine put out the most amazing squeeze page ever and they are a breeze to customize.

You can get your own license here:

Graphic Design

www.Fiverr.com

You can also find great graphic designers on eLance, Odesk and 99Designs, but I’ve been using Fiverr in my business since 2010 and most of my current vendors who are graphic designers or video editors come from Fiverr. It will take you a few trials and errors to find a good designer, but it’s very possible.

In fact the logo you see at the top of this page was designed by a Fiverr.com vendor. The trick with Fiverr and any outsourcing site is for you to be crystal clear on.
